Alice Aycock lives and works in New York. She received a B.A. from Douglass College and an M.A. from Hunter College, New York. Aycock has exhibited at the Venice Biennale, Documenta VI and VIII, and the Whitney Biennial, and in important museums and galleries throughout the world. Alice Aycock's public installations can be found in many major cities in the U.S., and other works can be found in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, The Brooklyn Museum, the Louis Vuitton Foundation, LA County Museum, and the National Gallery. In 2013 she will have her third retrospective, a survey of drawings, at the Parrish Art Museum, Southampton, coinciding with the Grey Art Gallery at New York University. In 2014, The Fund for Park Avenue, in conjunction with the City of New York's Department of Parks & Recreation and Salomon Contemporary, will present Alice Aycock, Paper Chase on Park Avenue. |
